Portion 2: God has given me a special family.

Golden text: Proverb 1:8-9.

Understanding the text: King Solomon was characterized by his wisdom, which God enriched when he asked for it. That request at such a young age already shows a wisdom that came from the teaching he received from a young age[1]. In this proverb he reveals how the teachings of his father’s found fertile soil in him. He says that he valued them as a crown on his head and as an earring on his neck. Children from a very early age must learn to value the familiar space in which God has placed them.

Suggestions:

  • — When you receive the child, mention the family that brought you, for example: “It’s good that Mom brought you!”».
  • — Use phrases like, “It’s good that my parents have brought me to worship God!”, “Thank you, Lord, for my family”, “Lord, bless my family”, etc.

— Learn a children’s song that talks about the family and try to hum it repeatedly.
