Portion 7: God came into this world.

Golden text: Isaiah 9:6-7.

Understanding the text: Although God created the universe, we must understand that it is under the dominion of Satan, who took possession of this part of creation through sin. God had to allow this for one simple reason: “He created man with free will and therefore He had to allow him to love Him or not.” Although man chose not to love Him, God has wanted to give man another chance by showing him His love. How did he do it? Through the relationship with him, through his written Word, through the prophets, etc. The greatest of all the ways in which He wanted to transmit His love was by personally visiting the human being through His Son Jesus. The God of eternity becoming man is the greatest token of love that man has ever received. This visitation had its greatest moment in which, even though we were unfaithful and killed him on the cross, God brought about salvation for man and through salvation he transferred him from darkness to His marvelous light.

Suggestions:

  • — Create a Christmas-like atmosphere, bring all the children and dolls you have used so far in class to visit Jesus and worship Him. Try to make the baby a bundle of cloth so that the child does not mistake the doll for a possible face of Jesus. Don’t worry about this, because it is very easy for the child at this stage to fantasize and imagine a child. Let God put in your mind the image He considers.
  • — Teach him a chorus that alludes to the birth of Jesus with mime actions or helping him to move some part of his body.
  • — If you have recorded music, play Christmas music while the place is being organized and at the end when you go to pick up. Don’t wait for a certain date to show this, remember that it can always be Christmas.
