Understanding the text: Love among brothers and sisters in the faith is the characteristic that must distinguish the church. It’s not the praise, the preaching, the building, or even the Bible. All of this is good, but it is the fruit of love that distinguishes the person who has been born again. Christ teaches that children are the greatest exponents of this love; so, we must give them space to enjoy this, so that it becomes the normal way of life for them (Matt 18:1-9). When they grow up, they must weigh that fruit that characterizes the church and that is the opposite of what happens in the world. Satan will always want to deceive them into believing that what the world offers is superior to what the church offers them. Now, what happens in the church happens because of a miracle of God in the hearts of those who have surrendered to Him.
