SIDUR WAKE UP

Upon opening the eyes, thanks is given to the Creator for having awakened and for another day of life. This is not a devotional, but some actions of thanks upon rising:

Birkot Hashachar:

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who illuminates the world with Your eternal goodness.

Elohai Neshamah:

Elohai, neshamah shenatata bi, tehorah hi.

Atah berataha, atah yetsarataha, atah nafachtaha bi,

Ve’atah meshameraha b’kirbi,

Ve’atah atid litlaha mimeni,

Ul’hachaziraha bi le’atid lavo.

Kol zeman shehaneshama b’kirbi,

Mode ani lefanecha.

My God, the soul You have given me is pure.

You created it, You formed it, You breathed it into me,

and You preserve it within me.

You are destined to take it from me,

and restore it to me in the future.

As long as the soul is within me,

I thank You.

She’asah li kol tzarki:

Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu, Melech ha’olam, she’asa li kol tzarki.

Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the universe, who has satisfied all my needs.

Asher Yatzar:

In the case of physiological needs:

Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu, Melech ha’olam, asher yatzar et ha’adam b’chachma u’vara bo nekavim nekavim, chalulim chalulim, galui v’yadua lifnei kisei k’vodecha, she’im yipateach echad mehem o yistam echad mehem, ei efshar l’hitkayem v’la’amod le’fanecha ad she’yitrap’u kulam v’yitkayem le’fanecha shira chadasha le’fanecha tzedaka u’bracha v’rachamim v’chayim v’shalom.

Blessed are You, Adonai our God, King of the universe, who formed the human with wisdom and created within him many openings and many cavities; it is evident and known before Your glorious throne that if one of them were to open or were to be closed, it would be impossible to survive and stand before You until all are healed and restored. Then, a new song will be sung before You full of justice, blessing, mercy, life, and peace.

HERE!

This Sidur is an attempt to bring us closer to the liturgical order that the followers of Yeshua (Jesus) should have had in the 1st century, without losing the freedom to add elements that help organize our worship. We do not believe it is comparable in any way to the Scripture (from the Torah to Revelation), nor should it be assumed as something beyond correction. It is merely an attempt to live as they lived.
