The whole blessing upon the tribes ends with a praise that declares the benefit Israel has had as a nation by God being over them as sovereign. That is why he calls him blessed. In short, all blessings come from Him.

The word Yesuroun (יְשֻׁרוּן) means ‘God of the righteous’, this is how Moses testifies that there is no one like Him.

The eternal God is your refuge, and here below are the eternal arms…”, Moses understands perfectly well that the eternity of God is what allows Him to enter human history in an active way, carrying out His plan with the nation. We must remember that Salvation had to be incarnated and for this it would have to be born as a man, as a son, as a brother, as a neighbor and as a leader, in order to call for salvation from the bowels of society and work the miracle of restoration of the human heart.

Despite what many think, the fact that there is God’s blessing does not imply that the enemy does not intend to deceive them. And although there are external enemies, it must be understood that this is only appearance because the real enemy is beyond what is seen, spiritual entities of evil that have human concupiscence as their main weapon, and as a cause of sin. However, we are going to enjoy very special moments in this spiritual battle, where some of the external enemies that serve as a sting for our flesh will deny their own past opposition. They will declare, “We love God’s people and all that they have made!” for remember that among them is the quarry of quantitative growth of the kingdom of God.

Questions:

2.- Share with the rest of the group what you interpret from Deuteronomy 33:29.

3.- Today there is a doctrinal approach in some evangelical groups where economic prosperity and personal self-realization are the mark of the new birth. In contrast, how do you understand God’s blessing on man?
